Privacy Policy

Divya Path ("the App") is a Hindu prayer application developed as a personal project. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Divya Path is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number or any personal identifiers
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Contacts, photos, camera or microphone access
• Financial or payment information
• Any data that can identify you personally

No account or login is required to use Divya Path.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us:

• Your preferred deity selection and font size settings
• Prayers you have saved for offline reading
• Your personal prayer collections
• Recently read prayers list
• Panchang city preference
• Cached prayer text and audio files (for offline use)

This data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

3. Internet Usage

The App connects to the internet only to:

• Download prayer content from our Google Sheets database
• Stream or download audio files from Google Drive
• Download Panchang (almanac) data files
• Check for app updates

These requests do not include any personal information. We do not log your IP address or track which prayers you read.

4. Analytics

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as:

• Number of app opens
• Device type and Android version (anonymous)
• App crashes and errors

This data cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us improve the App. You can opt out of analytics via your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation).

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — crash reporting and anonymous analytics
• Google Sheets — prayer content delivery
• Google Drive — audio file hosting
• GitHub — Panchang data files

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not share any personal data with these services because we do not collect any personal data in the first place.

6. Children's Privacy

Divya Path is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal data whatsoever, the App is safe for family use.

7. Data Security

Since Divya Path does not collect or transmit personal information, the risk to your privacy is minimal. All data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security measures.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
